The DU neighborhood, so named for the University of Denver located prominently in its midst, is Washington Park’s southern neighbor. Long a resource for cheap student rental housing, this neighborhood, like Platt Park, started to respond to the need for bigger homes closer to the city and began to scrape in the early years after 2000.
