Platt Park is a gem of a neighborhood just southwest of its popular neighbor Washington Park.
As with many neighborhoods in Denver, Platt Park’s real estate turn-around began with the success of some core restaurants – such as the Sushi Den – that drove new consumers into the area. As they continued to come back for more food and good times, they started to look around and realize that the properties were nice and under-valued. Some of the homes were scraped to make way for big new duplexes and single family homes. Other bungalows were renovated into terrific living spaces. Today, Platt Park remains a relatively affordable alternative to those wishing to live within walking distance to Washington Park.
